YOUTH IN PHILANTHROPY
Okoboji Foundation
ABOUT YIP
The Okoboji Foundation’s Youth In Philanthropy program started in 2009 with a goal to prepare area youth with the skills needed to assess community needs, solicit donations and evaluate grant requests to create a ripple of impact in their community. Each year students, grades Freshman to Senior, from Lake Park, Okoboji and Spirit Lake high schools are encouraged to apply to the program. Twenty-five students are chosen and meet October through May.
